2018 – 2020 : Director off Rugby union for Settimo Torinese ,1ste team coach, u18 coach, responsible for rugby development in schools, coaching development, players development , accademia and prison.

2017 – 2018 : Technical director for youth rugby union, 1ste team backline / attack coach serie A Settimo Torinese.

2016-2017: Technical director for youth rugby union, 1ste team backline coach for Monferrato rugby club.

2014- 2016: Head coach for North West Roosters Rugby League . First year for a new club playing in Serie A championship final.
2013-2016: Technical director for youth rugby union Head Coach u 18&14.

2008-2012: Head Coach Started a professional coaching career in Italy with a serie C Club and took them to serie B in the 1ste year.
In my 2nd year, 2009 I was asked to play and coach in serie A and have been coaching the serie A team of Asti for 2 years assistant coach as well as head coach and was also responsible for the junior coaches and juniors.
In 2012 I was responsible for the juniors at a new junior club in Asti and I am also responsible for rugby development in schools and in Asti.As seniors coach I am a forwards coach in Asti serie B.

2007-2009: Skill Development for Live to play rugby (Italy)
South Africa Coaching foreign players in Mossel Bay.

2006-2008: Head Coach for Mossel Bay RUFC Mossel bay coaching 1st team senior players.
2005: Went to Hull, England to play and coach

Hartenbos and U/13 A Team.

I, Rene Glen Berndt ID 651010 5034 988, have been a referee with the SWD Rugby Union for the past nine years and have known Chris for the same period. I have refereed, Mossel Bay Rugby
Club on many occasions(League games, Friend lies and just fun games too)have been involved in their “new law” training and have gotten to know Chris quite well.

Chris was not only the Coach of their first team but also a player, when it was necessary. I must add, a very good player and has a very good knowledge of the Laws. This attests to his commitment at all levels. Chris rejoined Mossel Bay Club after returning from overseas where he too, played/coached and immediately a big difference was visible in his team. I would go so far as to say, the difference was notable in the whole club. He is a strict disciplinarian and does not tolerate bad discipline, be it on or off the field. Chris is a people’s person and due to his own “lead by example”, enthusiastic approach to all things, he is a good motivator of people, therefore, ensuring the best out of them. Chris is an extremely loyal person and any less from his players is not tolerated. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him and he constantly goes the extra mile for his club. Chris has high standards, on and off the field and does not take loss, lightly. He takes pride in his work and takes any given task very seriously, with a “do not muck about” attitude. Often pondering what could have been done differently, goes back to the drawing board and then fixes it. He does not, however, forget he is dealing with people, with limitations and imperfection as himself, therefore, does not drive his players like a task-master. Chris can converse with people at all levels and I and my colleagues have received nothing but warm reception and appreciation when visiting his club.
